Searcher: Professionals like me use our intelligence too much, to the point where we often only see life through that lens. This dulls life and takes away from its beauty.

Osho: The absence of emotion rather than excessive intelligence is the real issue. In our society, emotion is completely ignored, resulting in a personality that is skewed in one direction or another.

Intelligence and emotion are like two wings: Frustration will result if we only use one wing. Then, at that point, the happiness that comes from utilizing the two wings all the while, in equilibrium and amicability, is rarely achieved.

Don’t be afraid to use your brain too much. Just when insight is utilized do you contact the profundities; just there is your true capacity invigorated. Intellectual work does not require you to use your intelligence. Work that is intellectual is just superficial; Nothing is challenged, and no depth is touched. This leads to boredom; It makes work that nobody enjoys doing. Delight generally comes when your independence is tested and you need to show what you can do and answer the test. When tested, insight or feeling both make their own rapture.

If only one part of a person’s personality is functioning and the other is dead, that person is schizophrenic. Then, at that point, even the part that is working won’t function admirably in light of the fact that it will be exhausted. Personality encompasses everything; It is completely unorganized. In point of fact, the personality as a whole is a fluid energy. Energy becomes intelligence when used logically, and the heart is created when used emotionally rather than logically. These are not the same thing at all; The same energy is moving through two distinct channels.

You can never unwind when there is only intellect and no heart. Unwinding implies that now similar energy inside you is working in an alternate channel.

a person who never takes a break from their intellectual pursuits. Because he does not expend his energy in a different dimension, his mind continues to function in a single direction unnecessarily. That leads to boredom. However, the intellect, or mind, is not to blame. The energy keeps circling around inside you because there isn’t a different dimension, and there isn’t a door that leads to it.

Energy can never stay the same. Energy is the constant flow of matter. However, the mind will not relax even if the room is different from the one you were in before, even if it is. For instance, if you are working on a scientific issue, you can unwind by reading a book. The work is unique: To tackle a scientific problem is to be active, which is very masculine, whereas to read a novel is to be passive, which is very feminine. Despite the fact that you are utilizing a similar psyche, you will be loose, on the grounds that it is the contrary pole of the brain that is being utilized.

The two poles should be in balance, really at that time a coordinated and individuated person conceived.
